Pet Intake Requirements

Boarding and Daycare Requirements

• All guests must be free of any parasites such as fleas, ticks, roundworm, giardia, other contagious parasites, etc.
• Any guest that has fleas will be given a flea bath immediately at the client’s expense
• Our guests over the age of 7 months must be spayed or neutered in order to continue participation in group play
• We do NOT allow unaltered female pets to visit for boarding or daycare while in their heat cycle
• A temperament evaluation must be scheduled and passed prior to your first visit
• Please bring your pet in on a NON-retractable leash
• We do NOT accept pets under the age of 3 months (12 weeks) or over the age of 12 years old
• Due to our hands-on care, if any pet shows aggression to or is unable to be safely managed by our staff, we will not be able to complete or continue the service and the pet will be required to depart the facility.

Current vaccination records on the following shots:

• Rabies
• Distemper (DHLPP/DA2PP)
• Bordetella or “kennel cough”
• Influenza
• Ova Parasite Exam (fecal test) ; Negative Result MUST be clearly indicated

**PLEASE NOTE: Viruses such as bordetella and influenza are much like the human versions of the common cold and flu. Vaccinations prevent a percentage of the strains of that virus but DO NOT guarantee full protection.

Pampered Pets Group Play is an environment designed for social dogs to play, have fun and burn some energy. Of course, safety is our #1 concern for your pet and others. Unfortunately, due to the increased risks associated with the social play environment, Group Play is NOT for every dog.

The Group Play environment only remains safe (for our staff and for our dog clients) when strict standards and safety precautions are followed. This means our staff members must be capable of properly handling all guests and controlling them in the event of an emergency. Because dogs are pack animals, one “unruly” dog can easily spoil the bunch and create chaos. It is unfortunate however Group Play is NOT a place for aggressive dogs to learn how to be social.

Play Groups:

• Group Play:
  Great option for the social butterfly! We recommend this group for dogs who are comfortable with all sizes and energy levels
  This group will receive between 4-6 hours of play a day between 9:00AM-5:00PM + 6-8 potty breaks throughout the day
• Rotated Play:
  This group is great for dogs who are comfortable with all sizes and energy levels but may have a personality clash with 1-3 other guests. No worries! We just rotate your pup with this guest(s) so everyone is happy!
  This group will receive between 4-6 hours of play a day between 9:00AM-5:00PM + 6-8 potty breaks throughout the day
• Limited Play:
  This group is great for dogs who prefer a limited size group due to discomfort with certain sizes or higher energy levels of the other dogs. Don’t worry! You’re not the only one!
  This group will receive between 2-4 hours of play a day between 9:00AM-5:00PM + 4-6 potty breaks throughtout the day
• Private Play:
  This group is great for dogs who’d rather spend one-on-one time with an attendant rather then other dogs or who aren’t spayed/neutered by 7 months.
  This group will receive between 1-3 hours of play a day between 9:00am-5:00PM + 4-8 potty breaks throughout the day

Due to sizing and temperament qualifications, our play groups change every day. Our goal at Pampered Pets is to provide a safe environment where our guests are as comfortable as possible while in our care. For this reason it is at our discretion that when a pet is no longer comfortable with certain sized play groups, sized pets, personality types or we (PPHC) feel is no longer safe, to modify the pets play category seen above.  At our discretion we accept ALL breeds for temperament testing. If the evaluation is passed all breeds can participate in the group play environment between the ages of 3 and 12 months old. Due to their particular type of play certain breeds classified under “bully breeds” or ANY breed showing poor behavior will be RE-evaluated at 12 months old. This classification includes but is not limited to American Pit Bull Terriers, Pit Bull Terriers, Bull Terriers, Miniature Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Boxers, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, Mastiffs, Cane Corsos, Chow Chows, Akitas etc. and mixed breeds of these kinds. **At our discretion ANY breed of dog showing behavior unsuitable for group play will be switched to a private play environment. Private play sessions are a one-on-one play session with staff only and can be provided at no additional cost.
